Acupuncture for Face and Body
What is Acupuncture?
In the east, acupuncture works with the life energy flowing through the body which is termed Qi (pronounced chee). These points are located along channels of energy known as meridians that connect all of our major organs. According to Chinese medical theory, illness arises when the cyclical flow of Qi in the meridians becomes unbalanced or is blocked. Qi can be influenced and balanced by stimulating specific points on the body through needle stimulation.
In the west, acupuncture is the stimulation of specific points located near or on the surface of the skin which have the ability to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions in order to achieve the desired effect. Often times people turn to acupuncture as a last resort but acupuncture is recommended as a preventative measure.

What can I expect during my visit?
Micro needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points to stimulate nerves, muscles, and connective tissue. These are very fine needles and you won’t feel any pain when needles are inserted. You may experience a mild, dull ache or a slight tingling sensation when the Qi is activated. During the treatment, most patients enter a relaxed state or fall asleep.
