What is Laser Genesis?

Laser Genesis is a non-ablative laser treatment for diffuse redness, fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, with consistent results after each treatment. There is no need for anesthetics or cooling gel during the treatment as it is performed in a comfortable and relaxed manner.

Diffuse redness is the general appearance of facial redness. It happens due to dilated capillaries that cause well-defined vessels to appear. This redness commonly affects the nose, forehead, and cheeks. It is also associated with rosacea and can be hereditary.

What can I expect during my visit?

Laser Genesis heats the upper dermis well below the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen to improve wrinkles, and by dilating capillaries through additional heat, it reduces redness.

Patients have seen excellent results from Laser Genesis when used on face, neck, décolleté, and hands. Laser Genesis is also a recommended treatment for recent scars on other parts of the body.

How many treatments are required for best results?

Laser Genesis results are often subtle and build over time. On average, you may require 4 to 6 treatments spaced 2 weeks to 1 month apart in order to achieve optimal results.

What is the downtime?

There might be a slight redness after the treatment but this should subside within a few hours and can be covered with makeup. You can go back to normal activities right away, but should apply broad spectrum sunscreen if taking part in any outdoor activity.
