Laser is an effective treatment to reduce the appearance of scars and prevent scars from forming. Using Nd:YAG technology laser and light is used to repair and resurface skin.

What can I expect during my visit?
There may be a stinging sensation during the treatment due to the delivery of energy pulses. Many patients use topical anaesthetic before treatment. After the treatment, there will be minimal or no pain at all.
After the treatment an ointment will be applied to the skin and the skin may appear red or swollen. Instructions for after-care treatment will be given to you to prevent possible side effects.
How many treatments are required for best results?
The number of treatments depends on the type, severity and location of the scar. This will be discussed during your consultation.
What is the downtime?
After the treatment, you might experience a slight reddening or swelling of the skin. These effects usually resolve itself within 24 hours. You can go back to your normal activities right away but vigorous activities should be avoided for the first 24 hours. Exposure to sun should be limited and sunscreen should be used.
Are there any alternatives to Laser Scar Removal?
To make surface scars or smaller scars less noticeable we also offer the following treatments:
