About Limelight & FAQ

What is the LimeLight Facial?

Have you ever wanted to smooth away fine lines, perfect redness and enjoy the freedom of not wearing makeup? White Orchid has now introduced The LimeLight Facial. This new facial is a non-invasive approach to skin revitalization. Benefits to this procedure are improving skin tone and surface imperfections associated with aging and photo damage.

What areas can be treated?

Typically, the Limelight Facial is perfect from the décolleté and  anywhere on the facial region. Anywhere that is experiencing unwanted redness, brown spots or telangiectasia (tiny views) is definitely appropriate.

What does the treatment do?

Depending on the severity of your skin condition, your practitioner can custom the treatment to suit exactly what you are looking for, depending on your personal needs. It’s the heating of the pigmented brown or red cells that causes the therapeutic effect.

What do treatments feel like?

Patients will experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation when the treatment is being done, this however is only temporary. If the pain to too much, or you are particularly sensitive, you can gel gel which helps to cool the skin. Anesthesia or pain medicine is typically not required.

How long will the treatments take?

This entirely depends on the area which is being treated and how severe the case is. Usually about an hour.

How many treatments will I need?

For sufficient results which are noticeable, we recommend 1-3 treatments over the course of a few weeks. Additional treatments may be recommended, especially for excessively sun-damaged skin.

What happens after the treatment?

Anywhere between a few hours to a few days after the treatment you will experience the brown spots darken and the face be red (due to the inflammation) this is only temporary and can be covered using makeup.

When will I see results?

Within one to three weeks, the darkened spots will fake off and fade. Diffuse redness or telangiectasia will decrease and your mottled complexion will improve.

Will the spots and redness appear over time?

When the skin is exposed to the sun without proper protection, spots may arise. These too can be treated with the Limelight Facial. Remember to always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and diffuse redness.
