TruSculpt 3D Fat Reduction Treatment

About TruSculpt 3D & FAQ

Cutera TruSculpt 3D

TruSculpt 3D is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that uses Monopolar Radio Frequency (RF) to sculpt and contour the body. TruSculpt 3D takes a multi-dimensional approach to decreasing waist circumference by targeting and heating fat cells. The fat cells are then slowly removed and excreted through the body naturally.

Does TruSculpt 3D hurt?

TruSculpt 3D’s patented handpiece design glides over the treatment area side to side to deliver uniform heat that penetrates the entire fat layer. The procedure feels like a hot stone massage but the design of the handpiece eliminates potential hotspots and ensures patient safety and comfort.

What areas can Cutera TruSculpt 3D treat and how long does each procedure take?

TruSculpt 3D is FDA-approved for the abdomen and flanks (love handles), but TruSculpt 3D is also safe to use on the arms, upper back (bra bulges), chin and other body areas.

The duration of each procedure depends on the area being treated. But the most common treatment area, abdomen and flanks, takes approximately 1 hour.

How many treatments do I need to see results?

Ideal candidates typically have a BMI of less than 30 and ideally have less than 30 pounds to lose to reach their ideal weight. With these patients, results are visible after one treatment, although some patients opt for a second or third session.

What is the downtime?

There is no downtime with TruSculpt 3D’s non-invasive procedure so you will be able to resume your normal activities right after the treatment. You may feel some tenderness in the area right after treatment but that will go away within a day or two.

Any Side Effects?

You won’t experience side effects except for the slight tenderness as mentioned above.

Why choose TruSculpt 3D over Coolsculpting?

TruSculpt 3D and CoolSculpting are both non-invasive fat reduction treatments. While Coolsculpting uses cold or cryolipolysis to get rid of fat, truSculpt uses Monopolar Radio Frequency heat.

Coolsculpting requires the area to be “pinchable” which makes the procedure incompatible with all areas of the body, unlike TruSculpt 3D. In addition, TruSculpt 3D tightens skin and improves skin texture during treatment.
